Several hours of hard work was on display today as the Advertising class presented their group projects.
This was a real world exercise--to develop a video and a poster or web page that would assist in the marketing of the BBA Program at UFV Chandigarh.
They had to design something that would attract young people like them.
The results of this exercise were amazing!

It became clear what these students think are the attractive features of this university.
It was also clear that many of them have high level technical skills!
I have included some snaps of the posters that were designed and actually printed poster-size on good quality paper.
Sukhani is describing what his group tried to accomplish with their design.
The extra curricular activities such as the Bhangra Team and the visit of Minister Fast were featured in many of the presentations. So was our Halloween observance!
The opportunity to be involved in events is important to the students.
It was obvious to everyone on campus that presentations were happening. Most students were wearing business suits or sports jackets.
Akershit and Aashwin look very professional.
The red maple leaf of Canada figured prominently in every aspect of their work. The tie to Canada is very important.
"Getting a Degree Never Felt So Good" sounds like a good recommendation for the program.
The young women were also involved in the presentations.

Many students are attracted to the program because it offers them an option to study in Canada for a semester or more. Visas are easily obtained once you are enrolled here.
Vikram and Rajkaran's group talked about that aspect.
This poster talks about the Canadian standards that are upheld in the program here. Students can complete the entire degree in India and it will be recognized for Masters Degree Programs abroad.
The group that Devinder, Karan and Amandeep were in did a very unique video.

You will also find there the video of our leader, Gurneet, delivering the commencement address at the UFV Convocation Ceremony in Abbotsford the year he graduated from the program. That was quite an honour for him but well-deserved. It is worth watching!

Milanpreet is talking about the web page her group did. The students hope to see more about their program on the UFV web site. It is relatively unknown to the general population but is such a unique and vibrant program.
The Administration Team, Gurneet, Dilmeet and Aditya, were invited in to see the student presentations. Many of the ideas and student work will be incorporated into their marketing plan as they go about recruiting students for the 2013 - 2014 year.
