It is still birthday season, and tonight we finally celebrated with Ninni Anand. Her birthday was last Friday but she had a weekend filled with social commitments so tonight was the night to treat her and the family to dinner.
We all enjoyed some continental cuisine with a variety of pastas, fish, and humus with pita bread.
The pizza chef demonstrated his talent using a brick wood-fired pizza oven. Ninni is thinking she should get herself one of those!
The location for this dinner was our favourite Bistro Flamme Bois in Sector 7.
What a chilly night! The temperature is now dropping to about 9 degrees celsius at night, but daytime temperatures are still up around 25. Perfect weather!
Of course, dinner is followed by dessert and for this we went to Giani's in Sector 35.
Here we were treated to Kulfi Faluda. Kulfi is an Indian ice cream that is flavoured with saffron and cardamom. The Faluda is a type of vermicelli made from corn flour. A yummy traditional dessert.
Ishpreet enjoyed his but was most anxious to meet up with his teammates to finish their Business 100 project. It is due tomorrow and his tough professor will not accept late assignments.
Happy Birthday, Ninni! Hope you enjoyed this belated and quiet celebration.
Another quiet birthday was celebrated today by Rajesh Ahuja, pictured here with George a couple of weeks ago.
Rajesh is the Economics professor for the students in our BBA Program. He celebrated his birthday by distributing candy to everyone, and then watching his students do their Economics presentations. That was a very good way to get students to dress up for his birthday and they looked very professional.
Happy Birthday, Rajesh!
We are now officially empty-nesters. Kathryn and Adam set off tonight on the overnight train to Jaipur to begin their post-internship tour of India. Stacy left last Friday.
Well, we still have Adi but he doesn't spend a lot of time in the nest.
