Welcome to UFV India!

The fall term begins tomorrow at UFV India and the staff has been working hard to get everything ready.

So, here is a glimpse of the campus before the students arrive.

UFV shares a campus with SD College in Sector 32.  The campus has some very nice green spaces with lots of beautiful plants--many potted tropicals.  The entrance is through the gates pictured here which are manned by a security guard.

The space leased by UFV is located on the second  floor of the Administration Building.   In fact, it fills most of that floor.  There are four classrooms, several offices, a Student Activity Room and a Board Room.

From  the balcony at the top of the stairs, you get a great view of the campus and the statue of the founder of SD College.

The one ground floor UFV office is used for recruiting and gives the university a presence at street level.

Definitely Gurneet and his team have put some thought into the decorating of the space to distinguish it from SD College and to provide an atmosphere somewhat like UFV Abbotsford.

There are some great posters promoting the BBA Program and the fact that it is a Canadian degree program.

Classroom are bright, air conditioned and equipped with up-to-date technology.

And here is Gurneet, celebrating the successful wireless connection of a laptop to the new projector!!!

So, Professor Peary, along with his able(?) assistant, will meet the first of four Business classes tomorrow.  We hope the students will learn as much as we do over the next three months!
