Well, meet some of the people. With a population of 1.22 billion in India and one million in Chandigarh alone, we haven't quite met them all yet.
Here are the ones most important to us.
We were met at Chandigarh Airport by the one and only Gurneet Anand, Associate Director, UFV India, and Dilmeet Bhasin, Program Manager.
Amazing young people--absolutely passionate about the UFV program in India! And in the midst of preparing for a new semester, they are doing everything possible to make our stay here a comfortable one.
This is the terrace of our home, and the tall, handsome young man is our cook and cleaner, Rohit.
Our roommates, Kathryn, Stacey and Adam, are here for three months from UFV on an internship program. They will have an interesting and challenging time working in the Janta Colony with a focus primarily on nutrition and health. I wonder if they will have us growing our own food before long!! Garry Fehr, who is the Director of the Global Development Institute at UFV, has been with them for the past few days getting them set up with the projects they will do. Garry is on his way back home now.
So Addi, who just graduated from the UFV Business Program in Abbotsford and now works on the team here, will be moving back with us.
This is Jeevika. She, too, has just finished the BBA Program, and also did her final courses in Abbotsford. Another satisfied customer who wants to help the program succeed.
I wonder how they feel about these two old people they have to deal with!!!
Everything seems to be ready to greet the 100 students who will be at various stages in the program this year.
