There is still concern about the increased numbers of dengue fever cases in Chandigarh (Union Territory) and several letters to the Editor criticized the local government for not being proactive.
The 80-year-old famous filmmaker, Yash Chopra, has died in in Mumbai from dengue. Apparently, it is fatal in only about 1% of cases but the elderly and small children are most at risk.
It was a bit of a shock to read in The Province that North Vancouver has had some snow already!
And, yes, I do get my usual breakfast delivery here!
We had a Skype with 3-year-old grandson, Tarik, in Reno, Nevada, this morning as well. He no longer argues about whether it can be daylight here when it is dark in Reno, although it is always a topic of conversation.
Then, it was off to Terrace Garden for our morning jog. There are now lots of familiar faces and many friendly greetings.
Today was garbage day and so the collector was around.
On our way to the university, we checked out Suresh's new bike when he came over to do our cleaning.
Someone was getting a delivery of very fertile soil as we waited for our car. Now that the weather is a bit cooler, it is planting season here and we have seen workers tilling the soil and planting flowers in Terrace Garden. We are told that the Garden will be filled with chrysanthemums come December. I hope they bloom before we leave for home.
After some hours of working at the university, and watching the practice of our Bhangra team, we came home and had a nice moonlit dinner on our terrace.

George is eating his favourite "dessert"--peanut butter and jam rolled up in a roti. This is his idea of fusion cuisine!
Then, "The Kids" returned from their exciting weekend in Delhi. They, too, thought it was a great city!
Fireworks are popping outside as I write. It is festival season and people are celebrating into the night.
