An Evening at the Anand's.......

Good food!  Good company!  Warmth!  Hospitality!

All in abundance at the Anand home as they welcomed us for a visit and dinner.

Gurneet sat and relaxed probably for the first time today.  Heading the UFV Chandigarh campus is not an easy job but one he obviously loves.  Saturday is a regular school day.

Here is Mom, Ninni, a very gracious lady.  She, too, offers her support to UFV despite having to run a family of three men!  We were so pleased to be invited to the family home for dinner.

Brother Ishpreet has just started the BBA program.  We expect to see him in Abbotsford for his third and fourth year.  He is a talented and motivated young man who enjoys playing guitar and is now also studying French.

With him is his favourite actor, Shahrukh Khan--or maybe it's Adi.  They look so much alike it is hard to tell for sure.

Mom and Dad Anand--Ninni and Satbir.  As George said, the boys chose their parents wisely, and I am sure Mom and Dad are proud of their sons.

I previously posted some of the highway signs we saw in the Punjab that are manufactured by Satbir's company.

We were also joined by Winnie, Satbir's niece who is a doctor.  His youngest sister, Winky, was visiting from Delhi.

The three cousins--Gurneet, Winnie and Ishpreet.

I think the Consulate sends Guillaume around to keep an eye on the rowdy Canadians in India.  We are always happy to see him.

It was a very enjoyable evening.

Thank you, Anand family!
