Is this what packing for 14 weeks looks like? As long as we have passports, visas, tickets, credit and debit cards, meds (hopefully we won't need to use much in the five kilo medical kit prepared by Blair and Deven), and teaching resources, everything else can be purchased at Fabindia!
Our Air China flight departs from Vancouver tomorrow (August 28) at 1:50 pm and will take us to Beijing and then on to Delhi. By 8 pm Wednesday (August 29), Vancouver time, we should be landing in Chandigarh. Of course, it will be 8:30 am on Thursday morning there.
We do look forward to meeting the UFV students and staff in Chandigarh, particularly Gurneet, Dilmeet and Jeevika who have become George's e-pals over the past couple of months, and to experiencing the sites, sounds and citizens of India.
Thank you, UFV, for offering us this opportunity! And, thank you family and friends for helping us prepare for this extended work vacation by moving into our home, attending to our business in our absence, and/or offering support and advice.
We will do our best to represent you well, and look forward to sharing our experiences with you through this blog.
